supporting your BIRTH
hearing your voice
CHEERing your CHOICE
HEY MAMA!
I’M RÉKA –
women’s health enthusiast, childbirth coach, doula, and mum of three (twins too)
And I’m here to help you to navigate from scared to prepared during the life-changing times of your pregnancy, birth.
With over twenty years of experience in childbirth education, pregnancy and women’s yoga classes and counselling, I’m excited to connect with you and support your unique journey.
I spend my time between Oxford, Bath (UK), and Budapest, my hometown in Hungary where I’ve been working as a doula and a childbirth educator since 2003. Over those years, I’ve helped thousands of parents prepare for their births through my signature birth prep course. In the UK, I’m insured and registered with the Federation of Antenatal Educators (Fedant) and am also a member of the Birthlight Educational Trust. If you want to know more about my qualifications, check it out here.
SO HOW CAN I HELP?
ANTENATAL COURSE
1:1 OR FOR SMALL GROUPS
THE ONE FOR THE MIND
comprehensive antenatal coaching
with a focus on both the physiological birth process and your choices at the various birth settings
To start, I offer an hour-long 1:1 Initial Consultation. The fee for this will be deducted from the total course fee if you decide to proceed. The Full Course is a condensed learning experience, a series of four 2-hour long meetings, online (occasionally in person). If you’re an expat or foreigner giving birth in Hungary, I can also help you navigate the local medical system.
PREGNANCY YOGA AND
ACTIVE BIRTH WORKSHOP
THE ONE FOR THE BODY
biomechanics-informed
prenatal yoga workshop with a focus on active labour positions, and breathing for birth techniques
Join me for a one time 3-hour long workshop to learn effective body-based techniques, active birth positions, and mindful focus and breathing exercises that will help you stay active during pregnancy, reduce stress, and prepare your body and mind for childbirth. I will safely guide you to ensure that you feel confident and empowered every step of the way.
“Muscles send messages to each other.
Clenched fists, a tight mouth, a furrowed
brow, all send signals to the birth-passage
muscles, the very ones that need to be
loosened. Opening up to relax these upper-
body part relaxes the lower ones.”
Dr. William Sears
PREPARATION IMPROVES OUTCOME
We know that there is evidence to support the idea that receiving birth education during pregnancy has a positive impact on outcomes and experiences. The benefits are even greater when support is provided by a doula or a physiological birth expert, rather than someone who is not part of the mum’s social and emotional network.
The above information is taken from a 2019 Cochrane Qualitative Evidence Synthesis which compliments an earlier 2017 Cochrane Review.

TESTIMONIALS
★★★★★
“Réka’s vast knowledge and the wealth of information she provides offer new mothers a deep sense of security before giving birth. She is highly professional, open to all questions, and very empathetic during online lectures and prenatal yoga sessions. Joining her training was the best decision I made, and I will always be grateful for the knowledge she imparted about the female body, pregnancy, and babies.”

★★★★★
“I highly recommend Réka’s childbirth preparation program and antenatal yoga classes. She provided me with invaluable guidance to prepare for the physiological changes that occur during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. In addition to providing essential information, she introduced me to a holistic approach that helped me adjust physically and mentally to the birth of my baby. I’m grateful for her support throughout this journey!”
– Rebeca M.
★★★★★
I had an amazing experience with Réka during the course. She was incredibly kind and patient. Even if I asked a question that might seem silly, she always responded with a big smile. Initially, I was really concerned about giving birth. But now, I feel much more confident and relaxed. I feel more confident prepared both mentally and physically. The pregnancy yoga videos were wonderful, and provided us with a lot of useful information on labour and on how to reduce pain. Highly recommend! It was an amazing experience!”

MORE ABOUT ME
I love being multi-cultural, and I am very proud to be the mum of three (now adult) children who grew up embracing diversity. The vibrancy of life and our ability to adapt and evolve in constantly changing situations fascinates me.
I am passionate about witnessing the transformation that pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period brings to the lives of parents – this is why I have been working as a birth coach and doula since 2003.
Parents remember me for:
My focus on the body-mind-soul connection, my passion for the right kind of exercise and a natural and holistic approach to this period.
I’m also well equipped to prepare for a no-nonsense, straightforward approach to modern birth in hospital or any other birth setting.
I often get comments about my empathy and warmth in a situation where mothering the mother is so important.
When I’m not supporting parents with their birth prep:
You can probably spot me walking our little white dog or I’m listening to music or cooking or reading a book. We love hiking with my husband who is a pianist / naturopathic health coach and we often have lively discussions on topics we are both passionate about – but my favourite moments are those when he plays the piano in private!
